The Career and Technical Education Health Science program prepares students for employment in careers that involve planning, managing, and providing healthcare services through professions in the following categories: therapeutic services, diagnostic services, health informatics, support services, and biotechnology research and development.  It offers a simulated work experience for students interested in the healthcare field in our Health Science program. Students are given the opportunity to prepare for health professions through various means: rigorous curriculum, simulated lab experiences, guest speakers, hands-on activities, and community service/leadership opportunities. Through a comprehensive program, students work toward becoming college and career ready in a high demand career field. Health Science students have the opportunity to further their knowledge and skills by participating in state and national leadership conferences through HOSA. Students are also eligible to obtain nationally recognized industry credentials by completing standardized tests successfully.
