The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a law ensuring services to children with disabilities. Winfield Schools receive federal funding to ensure that students with disabilities have the same opportunity to learn and participate in school activities as students without disabilities to the extent possible. By providing learning aides and personnel who help teachers provide study guides, modified curricula and accommodations, these students can participate in general education with age appropriate peers.
