Today, we celebrated minds of all kinds! WES had a very special guest join the morning announcements using a communication device, showing us the power of different ways to connect and be heard.
We also want to give a shoutout to Mrs. Long for her thoughtful revision of one of our school’s Super Seven statements—making it more inclusive for students who may be uncomfortable with eye contact. Small changes can make a big difference!

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION WINFIELD ELEMENTARY FRIDAY, April 4, 2025
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. for last names beginning with A-M, and 10:15 a.m. for last names beginning with N-Z.
Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025.
What you will need on the day of Kindergarten Registration:
1. Only the child registering for Kindergarten
2. A copy of the original birth certificate
3. Original up-to-date Blue Immunization Record
4. Two copies of proof of residence.
5. Enrollment forms to be filled out the day of registration.
6. Any pertinent court papers regarding the student’s custody papers.
What to expect at Kindergarten Registration:
*Only the student registering should be present with a parent. Siblings should not attend. *Follow the signs and building through the auditorium doors only.
*Sign the student in at the registration table.
*Turn in the required forms listed above. Bringing copies of required forms will decrease wait times.
*Parents will attend the Parent Orientation in the Auditorium, while students take a kindergarten readiness test with teachers.
Please park in the parking lot beside the track facility.

WCS April Lunch Menus
Due to severe weather conditions, Winfield City Schools will delay for 2 hours on Monday, March 31, 2025.
The Winfield City High School Winterguard is the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit SRA Class SILVER MEDALISTS!! They are also ALABAMA STATE CHAMPIONS in the SRA Division!! And...our very own senior, Casie Tidwell was awarded a $750 Scholarship from SCGC.
FCS students asked if they could have a bake-off. They came up with their own recipes, gave Mrs Peoples the list of needed ingredients and equipment and then got to work. 16 layers of 8 different recipes were baked on Monday and refrigerated . Tuesday they made icing and Wednesday they decorated. Thursday they turned in a written intro about their cakes and that night guest judges came in for the official judging. It was just like Food Network’s baking championships and it was a blast.
Thanks to our judges Sheri Lucas White, Paul Wyers and Candy Hicks Garner. Golden Spoon Awards were given out in front of the school on Friday. Both winners from each class came from our Kitchen 4/Paul Deen kitchen. 6th period winners were Becton Brown, Hudson Hollingsworth , Adeline Brasseal and Grayson Foster. 7th period winners were Juan Perez, Bentley Flynn and Briar Kelley. 7th period was the overall winner scoring the judges highest points.

Today, WCCTA programs, in collaboration with first responders, conducted a powerful Mock Wreck demonstration to highlight the dangers of distracted and impaired driving. Students witnessed first responders in action, showing the real-life consequences of unsafe driving. This eye-opening event served as a reminder that one choice can change everything. One Night..One Choice
