
On Friday, August 27, 2021 Winfield City High School will be hosting a pep rally for the football team’s game against Northside. The pep rally will be held that morning, and it will be a part of WBRC’s “live” broadcast of Good Day Alabama with Jeh Jeh Pruitt. There will be three segments filmed for the event with the first beginning at 7:20 a.m. The pep rally, with entire student body, will be broadcast at 8:20 a.m. If you have any questions concerning the pep rally, please contact the administration at the high school.

The Winfield Senior Center offers a free hot meal for anyone over the age of 60. Also, a spouse may attend as long as one is over the age of 60. For more information contact Susan O'Mary at 205-487-3552.

Getting signs ready for the student section for the football game on Thursday, Aug. 19. The Pirates will take on Fayette County at 7 p.m. at Estes Hudson Stadium. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the gate or on GoFan.co



Winfield Middle School has Fall Pictures scheduled for Wednesday, August 25th. This will be the picture shown in the yearbook.


The Winfield Pirates will host the Fayette Tigers at Estes Hudson Stadium on Thursday, August 19, 2021 with the kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
We will have a pep rally for the team at 2:30 p.m. , on Thursday, in the gym. If parents/guardians attend, they must wear a mask and sit in the upper seats on the home side of the gym.

We want to alert individuals and local businesses that we have been notified of a potential scam utilizing Winfield City High School. The individual is attempting to sell sponsorships for the school at a price of $195 but will reduce the price to $150 if you pay by credit card. With any fundraiser at WCHS, we will not ask for your credit card information to purchase fundraiser items or sponsorships.

Friday, August 13, will be the last day to register for Winfield Park and Rec fall sports including soccer, volleyball, baseball, and softball. No applications will be accepted after tomorrow at 5:00 PM. We look forward to a great season, and we would love to have your child participate, grow, learn, and have fun.

The Icey Gator located at 400 Frisco St. in Winfield is hosting a fundraiser benefiting the Winfield Neighborhood Bridges Program on Saturday, Aug. 28 from 12-8 PM.
